Expressions of Love (part two)

This extension of my Expressions of Love project from 2020 was inspired by a desire to take the chooni (head coverings) from Kent where they were made to my maternal village in Punjab where the words of love were poured into me by my Bibi ji (grandma).

At the time of making the choonis my Bibi ji had passed away. In early 2023 I went back to Punjab and with the photographic skills of Baljit Kaur, who just so happened to be visiting Punjab from Canada at the time, we shot the words in the land that they were spoken.
